Day 0: Arrive in Cusco – Tour Briefing

Upon your arrival in Cusco, you will receive a comprehensive tour briefing at your hotel at 6:30PM. This informative session will last for approximately half an hour, providing you with all the necessary details about your upcoming tour. It is the perfect opportunity to address any doubts or questions you may have, as your knowledgeable guide will be available to assist you. Additionally, your guide will also inspect your trekking equipment to ensure you are well-prepared for the adventure ahead.

Day 1.- Van from Cuso to Chinchero, Then trek to Poc Poc waterfal and later to Urquillos.

VAN FROM CUSCO TO CHINCHERO

We have an exciting adventure in store for you! Starting at 7:00 AM, our van will be ready to pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. Together, we’ll embark on a picturesque journey to the charming village of Chinchero, nestled at an elevation of 3800 meters above sea level. Along the way, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking sights of beautiful farms and traditional villages that will leave you in awe.

Once we arrive in Chinchero, get ready to delve into the rich history of the area. Explore the magnificent Inca terraces and discover the fascinating blend of Inca and colonial architecture. We’ll also pay a visit to the remarkable colonial church, which proudly stands as a symbol of heritage, built in the IXV century. Chinchero is renowned for its unique customs and traditions, giving you a rare opportunity to witness and be a part of the ancient cultural heritage that the locals steadfastly preserve.

CHINCHERO – POC POC WATERFAL.

After exploring Chinchero (3800m), we will embark on a captivating trek along the Inca trail, encountering various steps until we reach the breathtaking Poc Poc Waterfall (3400masl). This magnificent waterfall stands at approximately 30 meters, surrounded by pristine nature. Take a moment to unwind and immerse yourself in the serene ambiance while indulging in your snacks.

Following the break, we will continue our journey for another 3 hours towards the town of Urquillos (2900masl), where we can explore the intriguing ancient ruins. Our driver will be waiting at the trail’s end to transport us to the village of Yucay. In this quaint town, we will relish a delightful lunch buffet in a charming courtyard.

After lunch, we will return to Cusco, expecting to arrive around 3-4pm. This hidden gem of a hike remains lesser-known, ensuring a more secluded experience with minimal tourist presence and unspoiled trails.
