• Day 1: Arrival in Cusco. Share your flight details for reception.
• Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour. Explore the town and local market of Pisaq. Afternoon visit to the Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.
• Days 3-4: Short Inca Trail. Take a 1:45-hour train ride to “Chachabamba” or KM 104 (the starting point of the trek). Trek for 6-7 hours to Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, take a bus to Aguas Calientes. Explore Machu Picchu the next day and return to Cusco in the afternoon.
• Day 5: Inti Raymi Tour. Experience the famous Inca festivity of “Inti Raymi.” Participate in the celebrations at the Korikancha, the main square, and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
• Day 6: Transfer Out. After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to the airport.

Day 1.- Arrival to Cusco.-

Inti Raymi Adventure Tour starts when you arrival to the airport of Cusco at any time; however, we must know your fly details for the reception. Upon your arrival in Cusco, our staff will be ready to receive you at the airport and transfer you to the designated hotel. Please provide us with your flight details for the arrangement. If you arrive before noon, you have the option to join our City Tour program, which starts at 01:30 p.m. and concludes at 06:30 p.m. in the main square. This will allow you to have dinner at one of the local restaurants. During the tour, you will visit Qoricancha, and various Inca Temples in the city, such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Pucapucara. There is no scheduled activity for today.

Day 2.- Sacred Valley Tour: Cusco – Pisaq – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo.-

The “Sacred Valley” Tour is a captivating journey that takes you through some of the most treasured Inca sites in Peru’s Cusco region. Beginning at 08:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel and embark on a scenic drive through the lush and fertile valley. This valley served as a significant hub for the Inca Empire, playing a vital role in both agriculture and spirituality.

During this full-day excursion, you will have the opportunity to visit two main sites: Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Marvel at the exceptional craftsmanship of the Incas as you explore these archaeological wonders, all while basking in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The Sacred Valley is truly a magical place. Stretching along the Vicanota River, also known as the Sacred River, this valley is nestled between majestic mountains, some towering as high as 5,700 meters. During the dry season, the river calmly winds its way through the “Sacred Valley,” encircling the base of Machu Picchu before eventually joining the Ucayali River and eventually merging with the Amazon. However, when the rainy season arrives, the river transforms into a wildly roaring torrent, offering a remarkable display of nature’s power.

Our journey concludes in the enchanting town of Ollantaytambo. Here, you will explore a magnificent Inca fortress and have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of this small, picturesque town situated at an altitude of 2,800m / 9186ft. Days 3 – 4.- Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

We’ll start our day early at 5:30 a.m., taking a short 10-minute walk from the hotel to the train station. The train leaves at 6:10 a.m., and in just 1 hour and 45 minutes, we’ll reach the Chachabamba zone or the 104 km mark, situated at an elevation of 2,100 m / 6889 ft.

From there, we’ll embark on an 11 km / 6.8 mile hike to Machu Picchu. The first 5 km involve a gentle uphill climb towards the Winaywayna Inca Complex. Continuing on, we’ll gradually make our way up to the Sungate or “Inti Punku,” offering a breathtaking view of Machu Picchu. Don’t forget to capture some awe-inspiring pictures.

Afterwards, we’ll descend by stairways for about 40 minutes to reach a viewpoint where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of Machu Picchu. From there, a 25-minute bus ride will take us to the picturesque town of “Aguas Calientes” where we’ll spend the night.

On the following day, we’ll have breakfast at the hotel and then take a bus up to Machu Picchu. Once there, a professional guide will lead us on a 2-3 hour tour of this magnificent site. After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore, take photographs, reflect, and appreciate the wonders of Machu Picchu.

Afterward, we’ll board the bus to return to “Aguas Calientes” town for lunch. At 2:55 p.m., we’ll catch the train back to Ollantaytambo, and finally, we’ll transfer you to your hotel in Cusco, arriving at around 7:30 p.m.

Starting at 08:30 a.m, we will collect you from your hotel and take a short ten-minute walk to the Inca Temple of Qoricancha, where the magic begins. This celebration unfolds in three captivating scenes at different locations.

First, we gather at the majestic Qoricancha on Av. El Sol, just three blocks from the Main Square. Next, we move to the Main Square for the second scene. Please note that seating is not available at these locations, so we will be observing the festivities while standing. Finally, we conclude this remarkable event with a special scene held in Sacsayhuaman, located 3 km from Cusco. Transportation by bus will be provided. Rest assured, there will be comfortable seats available for spectators at Sacsayhuaman.
