Excellent support and coordination for my first solo trip I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to share my experience with Sunrise Peru trek. As this was my first solo trip to an exotic destination, I have a lot of reservations working with a travel/tour operator. Sunrise Peru trek (Mauro) was great, always responsive to my numerous questions and always willing to accommodate my customized requests/schedule. My time in Peru was limited and I wanted to see as much as I could. Mauro built an itinerary from start to finish that allow me to see/experience every I wanted to do. The itinerary complex including hotels in 3 cities, flights, trains, and multiple tours…. All were coordinated perfectly, and I had no issues and always felt save and supported. Thank-you Mauro for your help/support and a special thank-you to Henrry for being the best tour guide and a friend in Peru.

Excellent guiding service, would do it again! We went on the Short Inca Trek and the Quarry-Socma Trail trek with Sunrise Trek. Sunrise planned all the transport, food, accommodations and activities, and it was very easy and comfortable for us. We appreciated the local Quechua guide, Noe, his patience, kindness and knowledge about the environment and history. He was very accommodating of our needs and was able to adjust the pace and route to suite the conditions. He was even up for a 2nd time up to the Inti Punku site on the morning before we ended the hike. The food was excellent - there was always too much good local Andean food! The horsemen, Freddy and Anderson, and the cook Alejandro were very kind and always helpful - we felt very well taken care of. The hike was very beautiful, although the rain on the 2nd day of Socma Trek made everything wet. Pack your clothes in a waterproof bag or plastic bags if rain is a possibility. The last campsite of Socma trek near Ollantaytambo was small and sloped - suggest to the team to find a flatter site next time. We had a wonderful experience nonetheless and will recommend it to friends. At the risk of attracting even more people to this wonderful hike, the combination of the short Inca Trail and Socma Trek is an excellent combination, and avoids the larger crowds of the Inca Trail and Salkantay trek.

Amazing experience with Sunrise Treck and the Team. I booked with Mauro at the last minute the 7 Days trip in Cusco, the Jungle and Machu Picchu. He was very flexible by adapting every tour over my limited and particular days available for this vacation. Due to the flexibility of the agency and the team, I was able to see evey place and enjoy every experience that was part of the trip, even if during my stay the local people were doing strikes by blocking the trains and creating disruptions. Hennry and Mauro were always in touch with me and explained clearly every detail during this days. The stay at the Lodge in the Jungle was an amzing experience, definitly worth. The Sacred Valley tour was very impressive and intresting. The same for Macchu Picchu, where I spent 1 full day with Hennry, that was very passionate in the explanations. I was able to do an extra tour to the Humantay Lake as well and was beautifull there (I reached the top with the "Uber of the Ande aka. a strong Horse", as I was feeling the 4300m altitude and the 4km hike was very heavy). I would reccomend Sunrise treck to everyone which is intrested into a visit and enjoy in Cusco and the surrounding area.

Amazing Hike Incredible hike. Amazing views. Our guide Henry had tons of knowledge about the history of the Incas which he shared with us during the hike. We started of with a 6 hour hike trought the jungle and mountains, stopped at various Inca locations along the way to learn its history. Had some nice lunch and snack breaks and enjoyed the amazing views from the mountains. Finally we reached Machu Picchu trought the Sun Gate, absolutley unforgettable coming up that mountain top and get to look down on Machu Picchu in the valley below. Day 2 we got to go in to the Inca city for a closer look. Dinners, accomodations and transport was well planned and our tour guide Henry was 10/10. All in all an amazing experience and would definetly do it all over again.

Awesome 2 day trip to Machu Picchu with a an awesome guide Me and my husband booked the 2 Day package with the inca trail and machu picchu visit. Everything went smoothly and what views! Me as a peruvian but born in Sweden learn a lot about my heritage from our guide Henrry that is very passionate with what he does. Henrry took really good care of us and made sure we were always good and answered all our questions. He also took a lot of great picture of us and was a real funny guy as well. We had a great trip with Henrry and would book a tour with him again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful I had a wonderful experience. The tours were well laid out. Explanations were clear. My tour guide to Machupicchu Henrry was a stand out guy and really was passionate for what he does. I am so glad I got to get this checked off my bucket list and will highly recommend this tour company in the future.

An incredible experience This was totally awesome. We could not have been looked after better. Carlos our guide was fun, loved his job and contagiously shared his passion for the mountains and the Peruvian culture. We learnt so much about the natural environment we were in. The organisation for the trip was amazing. The food cooked by marcos was incredible. It was made so special by not being with cries of people; stopping in local villages to sleep for the night. He even got us up to Machu Picchu for sunrise with virtually no other people there. There are no words to describe the experience. Just an incredible and I would totally recommend it. Thank you.

Do the trek and get the guide - Henry ! I just finished the Salkantay Trek with Henry, one of the guides with Sunrise Peru. I have done a little hiking in different parts of the world and guides can make or break a trip and Henry is one who makes it. He is very passionate about the land on which you are walking, the people of this region and their cultural, their history and the evolution of Peru. He is very knowledgeable. He can and will, happily field all manner of questions about both the history of the Quechua people and modern day Peru. A gentlemen looking out for the welfare of his group and taking every step to make your trip more enjoying without being over bearing which it can often be. The experience was enriched by his leadership on the trip. I would suggest you ask for him if you’re in the area. One other tip. Ask Sunrise Peru to start you at the low point not the high point ! So you are walking up hill not down hill the majority of the time. The company provides the guides the route that have to adhere to and even on the ‘challenge’ option there was more down than up. More time to ask Henry questions too going up slowly than racing down 👍🏼

Unforgettable and good experience in Peru This is my unforgettable trip in my life In the last day, I'm on the way to Cusco airport. I just noticed that my connecting flight was cancelled because of flight accident in Lima airport day before. Lima airport was closed!!! I'm terribly worried. When I'm in hopeless and frustrated, my private guide Henrry Chauca, he's my angel from God to help me a lot!!!! I still remembered the day was his holiday. He came with his sons together to help me finding a bus in bus station. Help me to settle the related stuffs when I stuck in Peru. Without him, I can 't imagine how I would be in the strange place alone. Here, I really appreciate and billion thanks Henrry ^.^. I can see his kindness and passionate in Peru here to help me. Also, we have a good time in Machu Picchu although heavy raining. It's a special experience too. He kept his patience and good explanation even in this bad weather. Thanks again. Also, Rainbow mountain and Jungle are also very precious.
