About Perolniyoc Waterfall. –
In the middle of a rocky formation and the green mantle, the veil of water is even more impressive: The Perolniyoc waterfall falls forcefully, making itself heard from more than 100 meters high.
Perolniyoc is a natural formation of several million years in the valley of “Socma” an hour and a half from the city of Cusco. The water for this waterfall originates from the springs of the community of “Rayanpata” and from the snows located in the upper part. The water is used by the residents of the “Socma” community for domestic and agricultural purposes. The Perolniyoc waterfall is located at an altitude of 3,550 meters above sea level. It is an impressive fall of almost a hundred meters of water that looks like a wedding veil. The volume increases between the months of December to March due to the rainy seasons. Excellent natural resources such as flora and fauna can be seen in the sector. In addition, you can see the rich agriculture of the valley of “La pampa de Anta” and of the valley of “Socma” itself.

To enjoy this magical place, you have to walk through the woods starting from the community of “Socma”, which is the closest towns; a 3-hour journey (round trip) in the company of agricultural fields and a large number of species of birds and domestic animals and with luck you will be able to see deer, foxes and Pumas.
How to Arrive to Perolniyoc Waterfall?
To get to this lovely waterfall, you must first take a public bus from the city of Cusco to Ollantaytambo (1:30 Hours). From Ollantaytambo, you can take a taxi which will drop you off in the Community of “Socma” (45 minutes). Then you have to walk a path until you reach the waterfall for about 1 hour.
