The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in the 2019 will be strictly operated only by authorized travel agencies like “Sunrise Peru Trek”; The Inca Trail Guides, Assistants, porters and cooks will be authorized by the government after they pass the trekking examinations. It is important to know that for the 2019th the government has implemented new rules of reservations. And also has limited the time of visiting the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Inca Trail reservations for 2019
In order to control access to the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in 2019 the Inca Trail regulations need to be followed by all people hiking to the location; all permits are non-transferable and change of dates are not accepted by the government office in charge. The Inca trail is closed throughout February for conservation projects.

Inca Trail camps for 2019
There are numerous campsites along the trail; the government designates the campsites for all groups; it is subjects of availability so that, it is Important to reserve well in advance. Most of the groups prefer to use as the last camp the sector of “Wiñayhuayna” because this is the closest camp to Machu Picchu (2 hours of walking); but it has not sufficient apace for all groups so, some other groups will cam at Phuyupatamarka which is located at 5 hours from Machu Picchu.
The entire camping site along the Inca Trail has installed toilets with running water, but they are public so be prepared to find NOT very clean as you would like. The camping sites are numbered and each group gets a specific number of camps.
