The Inti Raymi is the most popular Inca festival in the city of Cusco
The spectacular INTI RAYMI festival honors the birth of the New Year for the Incas which occurs on the 24th of June. The start of the festival is when the sunrise illuminated the temple of the Sun known as the “Qoricancha” which was totally covered with gold in the time of the Incas.
