Trek Itinerery
Day 1: Cusco – Salkantaypampa:
4-hour bus journey from Cusco to Soraypampa, then visit the Umantay lagoon, get luch at soraypampa; in the afternoon trek for 3 hours to Salkantaypampa camp.
Day 2: Trek to Sisaypampa:
We will pass the highest point (5,200 masl / 17060ft); from where you will be rewarded with spectacular mountain landscape. Then, we will descend to the Sisaypampa camp.
Day 3: Trek to Paucarcancha:
Interact with the locals and enjoy a wonderful day trekking through the high mountain valley where you’ll see a great quantity of birds and hummingbirds.
Day 4: Trek to Llulluchapampa:
Join to the Classic Inca trail and continue this popular trek where you will visit stunning Inca ruins.
Day 5: Trek to Chakiccocha:
Trek over the famous “Dead woman’s” pass 4,200m / 17060ft and continue toward Chakiccocha camp. Along the trail you’ll visit Runkuraqhay and Sayacmarka Inca ruins.
Day 6: Trek to Wiñaywayna:
Today we’ll hike in the shadows of the cloud forest and you will see the flora and fauna of the zone; as well we you’ll visit Phuyupatamarka and Wiñaywayna Inca ruins.
Day 7: Explore Machu Picchu and return to Cusco:
Today day we will explore the stunning Inca site of Machu Picchu and in the afternoon we will return to Cusco by train.
