Machu Picchu: the Lost city of The Incas

Machu Picchu  means “Old Mountain” it is a fantastic energetic Inca temple located at 2,400 meters about sea level is located on top of the mountain which belong to Vilcanota Mountain range at the beginning of the Amazon; Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca Emperor Pachakutec (1438–1472). Often referred to as the "Lost City of the Incas", it is perhaps the most familiar icon of the Inca word.

The Incas started building the estate around 1400, but abandoned it as an official site for the Inca rulers a century later at the time of the Spanish conquest. Although known locally, it was unknown to the outside world before being brought to international attention in 1911 by the American historian Mr. Hiram Bingham Since then, Machu Picchu has become an important tourist attraction. Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry stone walls. The most important structures are the Intihuatana (Hitching Post of the Sun), the Temple of the Sun, the Room of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Condor.
